Mr. Shinbrot has successfully represented thousands of debtors under Chapter 7 of the United States Bankruptcy Code, including defense of complaints to determine dischargeability of debts and defense of actions to deny the bankruptcy discharge. Mr. Shinbrot also represents bankruptcy trustees and he has successfully recovered assets and prosecuted and defended bankruptcy adversary matters through trial.
Restructuring
Mr. Shinbrot has assisted companies reorganize debt for more than 30 years, he has confirmed chapter 11 plans for companies and individuals within schedules and budgets commensurate with the complexity of the particular matter. Mr. Shinbrot’s approach to the chapter 11 process is the use of practical legal solutions to deliver maximum value. However, chapter 11 bankruptcy is not always the answer to financial problems. Trial Practice
Our representation of clients in a wide variety of industries provides us with a unique perspective of the litigation process. We bring that experience to our trial practice which allows us to successfully conduct trials in state and federal courts. Mr. Shinbrot has an active business litigation practice and he has successfully conducted jury trials in California courts.
Creditor and Collections Practice
Our creditor practice includes recovery of real estate and other property pledged as collateral, bankruptcy adversary litigation (including prosecution and defense of dischargeability claims), chapter 11 claims and plan litigation, collection matters and non-bankruptcy workouts. We represent creditors in federal and California state courts, as well as arbitration and mediation matters.
